Birthday wishes

Good evening all, I can't believe it is almost the end of January already! Today's card was made using stamps by Chloe. I used WOW embossing powder with the stamps and the sentiments are from Lili of the Valley. Just a quick post tonight as I've got a special Valentine's card to make which I'll share with you soon.

Christmas!

Hello everyone! As we begin to take down our decorations for another year, I thought I'd better share a photograph of the Christmas card that I made for my Mum and Dad (apologies for the awful photograph!). Although the colours may seem unusual for a Christmas card, they have recently had their living room decorated so I wanted to match the card to their colour scheme of blue, grey and yellow. The bauble stamps are Spellbinders and came free with a magazine (bargain!). I stamped them and then used silver WOW embossing powder. I'll definitely use these again for this year's cards. I have started my second scrapbook page of the year so hopefully I will finish this shortly and be back to share a photo with you. Enjoy the rest of your day!

Happy New Year! (from a 'Cardmaker of the Year' runner up!)

Hello and a very Happy New Year to you all!

This is a New Years card that I made for Quick Cards magazine. It was published in the magazine and posted on their Facebook page. The papers came free with the magazine (love the pink, grey and orange colour palette) and the Tim Holtz clock die was cut from silver glitter paper.

I also received some very exciting news at the end of 2015. In October, I received a telephone call to say that I was a runner up in the 'Cardmaker of the Year' competition in Quick Cards and Cardmaking and Papercraft magazines. I was over the moon to have my cards printed in two magazines and I also won some fabulous new craft stash!

Here are the three cards that I submitted for the competition:

I am looking forward to 2016 and hope it will be full of crafting adventures! I've even managed to complete my first scrapbook page of 2016, so I'll be back soon to share this with you. Bye for now! x

Jingle Bells...

Hello all! Christmas is fast approaching so today I have a card to share using the Woodware jingle bells stamp which I paper pieced onto kraft card. Not particularly traditional Christmas colours but I do like the pink/green combination. The bells add that extra 'jingle'!

Mixed media fun

In September I was lucky enough to attend another mixed media workshop with Fran Westmoreland. We used a wide range of techniques and lots of fabulous Prima products to decorate our canvases. I really enjoy this type of crafting and will definitely be doing more in the future.

Stamping and embossing fun

Good evening everyone. Tonight I'm sharing a card that I made for a friend's birthday (apologies for the poor photography!). The circle background stamp, the flower stamp and the bow stamp are all from Stamps by Chloe. I stamped them with clear ink onto ivory coloured card and then used Wow embossing powder. I added gems to the centre of each flower and decided not to add a sentiment. I hope my friend likes it!

Prima dolls (Part two)

As promised, I'm back tonight to share the remaining three 'Thank You' cards that I made for my work colleagues over the summer. I'm sure that this is not the last you'll see of these Prima doll stamps! I'm not card making this evening as I have bought a new colouring book so I am going to make a start on this. I'll be back soon with more crafty creations.
