With Love from Me to You!

Well I didn't get as much crafting done as I would have liked today but I did manage to ink up one of the new Woodware stamps that I got yesterday. I saw this at the NEC trade fair last month and knew that I would have to buy it! It's quite a large stamp so you don't need to add much else to make up a card. The pale pink backing paper is from Hot Off The Press and I coloured the stamp using 3 different shades of pink Promarkers. A few gems and a Martha Stewart punch and the card was complete. Hoping to make an anniversary card tomorrow using another new Woodware stamp. Goodnight all, off to read the new issue of Simply Cards and Papercraft. x

Workshop done!!

Well I've done my first ever card making workshop today and absolutely loved it! Over 80 people took part and at one point there was a queue forming to take part in the workshop. I even had people asking if they could buy extra packs to take and make at home!I am chuffed with the feedback and hope that this will be the first of many! I did buy a few(!!) crafty goodies and hope to have a play with these tomorrow. Here's the card that we made and I have to admit that it was very difficult to photograph due to the acetate on the front which I had embossed. I also embossed the purple cardstock underneath this which was then glittered. Prior to this, I was not a huge fan of embossing folders but I'll definitely be buying them in the future. That's all for tonight, I'm shattered so going to have an early night and look forward to a (hopefully) lengthy card making session tomorrow. x

Workshop time!

Evening all, hope you've all had a good day. I've had a busy one so going to keep this short and sweet! I'm finally ready for the workshop tomorrow and have to be up at 6.30am! I'm looking forward to seeing the other workshops and also looking at all the crafty goodies that will be on sale (I wonder how much I'll come back with...I'll let you know tomorrow evening!). Enjoy the rest of the weekend! x

So many projects, so little time!

I was hoping that I would have some Boofle decoupage cards to show you all this evening but unfortunately they are still sitting on the kitchen table! I seem to have so many projects started and not enough time to finish them all so my aim over the next week is to do this so that I can begin making some cards using the new craft stash that I have bought. I thought I would share a photograph of my workshop preparation that is sitting on the table too (I will add a close up photograph of the card after the workshop on Sunday). I just love adding glitter to cards but it does seem to go everywhere! Sorry for the short post, off to read the new issue of Quick Cards with a free Wild Rose Studio gift, when will I get the time to play with this! x

Birthday Wishes!

Good evening, hope you've all had a good day! It's been sunny here so it was a trip to the park with my 2 girls to feed the ducks then we popped into The Range to purchase a few crafty goodies! Tonight I thought I'd share with you a 'birthday collection' that I made at a workshop a few weeks ago. It consists of a gift bag (I have bought some brown paper bags to decorate so hope to share these with you soon!), card, flag, cookie bag and chocolate bar wrapper. Some of the flowers on the bag are made using a die and this has been added to my shopping list for the NEC Hobbycraft show later this month. Just a quick post as I still haven't finished all the workshop packs and it's only 3 sleeps away!! x

Better late than never!

OMG! I can't believe it's gone 11.30pm but I promised myself that I would try and post a blog entry every day so better late than never. The workshop packs are coming along nicely although embossing x 300 pieces of card and acetate = arm ache! The card I'm sharing with you tonight is for my nephew's 3rd birthday. I always struggle to make cards for males/boys as I just love pink and bling and can't add my usual embellishments. The image is Lili of the Valley coloured with Promarkers and the papers are from DCWV. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards and I have added his name to the image to make it more personal. I managed to finish the Boofle decoupage last night (I finished at 12.30am) so I just need to make some cards with them now! I'm off to bed, I'll post another entry tomorrow. x

Sources of inspiration!

One thing I love is crafting with others and attending workshops (although I'm teaching my very first workshop this weekend, help!) so I thought I would share with you a project that I did at a workshop a few weeks ago. The project consisted of 4 cards and a bag, all made using Stampin' Up products. It was the first time I had used these products and I wasn't disappointed. I loved the colour scheme and the way that we decorated the envelopes to coordinate with the cards. Hope you like them, please feel free to post a comment. Tonight, I'm going to carry on preparing for my workshop (200 matting and layering cards cut last night) and hopefully get the opportunity to play with some of the gorgeous products from the new docrafts Boofle range (including self adhesive fabric paper - delish!). Back tomorrow, bye for now. x
