Baby Girl

Good evening all! I'm back at work after 9 months off so I've not had as much time to craft over recent weeks. Luckily, I am doing a demo in May and have just picked up lots of new goodies so I'll be sharing my cards with you over the coming weeks. Tonight I'm sharing with you a baby girl card that I made using one of the Woodware stamps. Apologies for the awful photographs, poor light is to blame! The spellbinders die is new and fab, I'm sure i'll be using this on lots of my cards! Short post tonight as I'm off to watch Create and Craft (I can only get it on my PC after 6pm!). Speak to you all soon. x

A very special present for a VERY special person!

Good evening all! Apologies for not being around much, I've been working on a very special project for my Mum's 60th birthday party. Tonight I've had the family around for a birthday tea and my Mum has opened this present so I can now share the photographs with my blog friends! I wanted to create a little memory book of photographs of my Mum from when she was a small child until now. As she loves handbags, I tried to make the book look like a handbag. I used chipboard which I cut and covered in different patterned papers before inking the edges. I used a few alphabet dies and border punches to decorate the pages. (Apologies for the photo overload but I wanted to show you every page!). The best part is that she really liked it! Please feel free to leave me a comment. x

Shhh!! Another card my Mum can't see yet!

Hello all! Tonight I'm sharing with you the birthday card that I have made for my two girls to give to their Grandma for her 60th birthday next week (I'm hoping she won't check out my blog before Thursday!). I have used some papers from my stash along with some Boofle decoupage, Sizzix alphabet dies and a flower punch. I just love cards that have been personalised - I was going to add a photo or two but ran out of room! Just a quick post tonight as I need to crack on with the photo album that I am making (also for my Mum's birthday but shhh!). x

Happy Birthday!

Hello! I couldn't believe it when we woke up to snow this morning. Shame there wasn't quite enough to make a snowman! Tonight I'm sharing with you a Happy Birthday card using the Woodware stamp. I stamped the image onto patterned paper (which came free with a card making magazine) and then paper pieced each letter using different patterned paper. I am making a batch of cards ready to display at my forthcoming demonstration at the Craft Palace in Sheldon on 6th May. Sorry for the quick post tonight, the huge pile of ironing took me a lot longer than I thought it would! x

New Home!

One of my best friends is moving house in the next few weeks so I thought I would make her a card using the Woodware birdhouse stamp. I used the patterned acetate as I saw the purple and green colour scheme recommended on a challenge blog so I thought I'd give it a try! I'm still contemplating whether to continue buying Promarkers or to invest in the Spectrum Noirs from Crafters Companion (I'll let you know when I've decided). It's a short post tonight as I'm hoping to get a few more cards finished. x

Shhhh!! Don't show my Mum!

Good evening all! Hope you've all had a nice day, I went to Craft Palace in Sheldon but was very good and only bought a few crafty goodies even though there was 25% off everything!! I've also been booked to do some demonstrations and to run some classes so I am very excited!! Tonight I want to share with you the finished card for my Mum's 60th birthday which isn't until 12th April so I have banned her from my blog until then, haha! The Mo Manning images were precoloured die cuts which I bought from The Hobby House at the NEC (cheating I know but my colouring/shading still needs some work!). The papers were a freebie from the latest Quick Cards magazine and they matched perfectly and continued the strawberry theme. The pearl flourish and lace were also purchased from the NEC and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have used Sizzix and X-Cut dies for the letters and numbers. This is the first card I have made like this but I know that it will definitely not be my last as I still have more of these images to use. Apologies for the photo overload but I just wanted to show it from different angles. Hope you like it and I can't wait to give it to my Mum on her birthday. x
