Wedding day

Good afternoon! Today's card was an order for a wedding card that I made recently, I love the Hobby House pre-coloured toppers and can only dream that one day my colouring will be this good!

Birthday frame

Hello blogland! Today's post shows a present that I made for my niece's birthday. I bought the frame for £1 and decorated it using a Tatty Twinkles stamp coloured with Promarkers. The butterflies, cakes and presents are also from the same stamp set. I cut out the letters and number using my Silhouette Cameo machine.
This week I have also been making my first 'Frozen' themed birthday card so hopefully I will be able to share a photo on here after Sunday when the recipient receives it.

Another doll!

Good evening all! Can you tell I love these stamps?! I made this card for one of my friends at work. I paper pieced her dress and used a die for the bow. I added LOTS of glitter and bling (not sure that this shows up in the photograph). Tonight I am attempting to make my first 'Frozen' themed birthday card with the help of my Silhouette Cameo! Hopefully I  will be able to share my creation later in the week. Until then, happy crafting!

Festive Friday!

Good evening! In an earlier post, I said that I would be doing a 'Fortnightly Festive Friday' to show any festive cards that I had made. Tonight's cards were both made using 'My Mind's Eye' papers and a petal stamp from 'Chloe's Creative Cards'. I heat embossed the stamp several times and used 3D foam pads to add dimension. Hope you like them!

New Home

Good evening! Tonight I'm sharing a new home card that I made (apologies for the terrible photograph). I cut out all of the house and features using my Silhouette Cameo machine. The grass is a new die that I bought and I added a few gems to add a bit of bling! Sorry it's a short post, off to finish some cards which may be featured in a magazine (fingers crossed!).

007

Good evening all! Tonight I am sharing the birthday card that I made for my sister. She is, and always has been, a huge James Bond and so I decided to go with this theme for her card. I chose to make a pop up box card and cut the card base using my Silhouette Cameo. I then printed out photos of all the actors who have played James Bond along with some iconic 007 pictures. I used acetate to attach the pop up images to the inside of the card. I'm pleased to say that she really liked it!

Fab at 50!

Good afternoon! I made today's card for one of my friends who was turning 50. I absolutely love these Prima Julie Nutting doll stamps and have a few in my collection (I may add to this after seeing the new releases at CHA!!). I paper pieced her dress and coloured the rest with Promarkers. I used lots of bling to make it a really special card!

BIrthday girl!

Hello! Today's card was made for my daughter to give to one of her nursery friends for her birthday. Pink is my favourite colour and so I tend to use it rather a lot on my cards. The image is a Tatty Twinkles stamp which I stamped, embossed and coloured in with Promarkers. I love personalising cards so I added her name and age, and then added a few sequins!

Rainbow Flower Thank You Card

Good evening everybody! I have made tonight's card to enter into the Papertake Weekly Challenge blog where the theme is 'anything goes' with the optional extra of a thank you card (which I chose to do). I embossed the white card and matted it onto the grey spotty paper and glittered around the edges. I then die cut a circle from the grey spotty paper and used a BoBunny stamp for the sentiment, The flowers and leaves were created with punches and I used lots of 3D foam pads to give the flowers and circle some dimension. I finished the card by adding LOTS of gems! I just need to think of somebody to send it to now.

'Crafty' New Years Resolutions

Hello! This year I want to find more time for crafting so I decided to write down a few 'crafty' new years resolutions. I have decided to share these on my blog so that, in December, I can look back and see how many I have achieved. So here they are:

My Blog: I am going to try and post on my blog at least twice a week. I will also do a 'Fortnightly Festive Friday' post which must be Christmas related makes (I am determined not to use any shop bought cards for Xmas 2015 so hopefully this will allow me to make enough cards in time for December).

Magazines: I love buying craft magazines but often do not use the free gifts that come with them so this year, my aim is to use them within that month and send a picture of my card to the magazine.

Cardmaker of the Year (competitions in magazines): Every year I consider applying to these but never quite get around to sending in my cards so this year I will make sure that I give myself adequate time to enter the competitions.

Challenges: I am going to start entering challenges so that hopefully more crafters will find my blog!

Project Life: I love the concept of Project Life and in 2014 I managed to complete a double page spread weekly until the end of June. Unfortunately after that, I didn't complete it on a weekly basis so I am now busily printing out photographs so that I can do a double page spread for each month from July to December in order to complete the folder. I now have a new folder for 2015 and am aiming to complete a double page spread on a fortnightly basis, I'll keep you updated with how I am getting on!

Wish me luck!

Cinderella is proof that a new pair of shoes can change your life!

Good evening! Tonight's card is a Good Luck card that I made for my sister when she started her new job. She absolutely loves shoes so this Woodware shoe stamp and quote were perfect for her. I really like Woodware stamps and have quite a few! I also noticed that they have just released some new stamps so I'll have to take a look! I'll be back soon with my 'crafty' new years resolutions.

Festive Friday!

Good evening all! Every year I promise myself that I will make all of my Christmas cards and not buy any, but every year I end up sending shop bought cards as I have run out of time. So this year, one of my resolutions is to start making Christmas cards early and throughout the year so that I don't leave it until the last minute. I will be sharing these cards on my blog on 'Festive Fridays'! Welcome to my first festive Friday and this is a bit of a cheat as I did make a few cards for Christmas and have yet to share them on my blog. This is the card I made for my Mom and Dad. I used a bauble punch (a bargain at £1!) and cut 3 for each bauble to give them a 3D effect. At the moment I am loving sequins so you will probably see a few on some upcoming cards,

Happy 50th!

Today I'm sharing a card that I made for my Mom to give to one of her friends for her 50th birthday. I've used the Art Deco range from docrafts along with some adhesive gems. I'm going through a phase of not being pleased with any of the cards that I have made recently so please bear with me! Also the lighting wasn't great when I took the photograph so the colours look paler here. Hoping to explore some new techniques and mediums over the coming months,

Good Luck card.

Good evening! Today was my first day back at work after the Christmas break so I'm now counting the weeks until the next school holiday! Tonight I'm sharing a good luck card that I made for the relative of a friend who was moving to the seaside to open a tea shop.

I seem to use these alphabet dies on a lot of my cards so this year I am going to try and experiment more and try and leave my comfort zone once in a while! I'll be back soon to share my crafty new year's resolutions.

It's been a while!

I know it has been a while since I last blogged but I would like to start with wishing everyone a very Happy New Year! I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas and received lots of crafty goodies. I had a new Project Life folder for 2015 (more details in a future post!) and a fabulous 12x12 glittery card pack. One of my new years resolutions is to blog more (and craft more) so we will have to wait and see what happens (I'm sure I say the same every year!).

Today's card was made for my manager at work who was retiring. I used a Hobby House pre-coloured topper and lots of flowers and bling. Another resolution I have made this year is to work on my colouring and use the Spectrum Noir pencils which have not yet been taken out of their tins. I hope to be back very soon with another card to share.
