Jingle Bells...

Hello all! Christmas is fast approaching so today I have a card to share using the Woodware jingle bells stamp which I paper pieced onto kraft card. Not particularly traditional Christmas colours but I do like the pink/green combination. The bells add that extra 'jingle'!

Mixed media fun

In September I was lucky enough to attend another mixed media workshop with Fran Westmoreland. We used a wide range of techniques and lots of fabulous Prima products to decorate our canvases. I really enjoy this type of crafting and will definitely be doing more in the future.

Stamping and embossing fun

Good evening everyone. Tonight I'm sharing a card that I made for a friend's birthday (apologies for the poor photography!). The circle background stamp, the flower stamp and the bow stamp are all from Stamps by Chloe. I stamped them with clear ink onto ivory coloured card and then used Wow embossing powder. I added gems to the centre of each flower and decided not to add a sentiment. I hope my friend likes it!

Prima dolls (Part two)

As promised, I'm back tonight to share the remaining three 'Thank You' cards that I made for my work colleagues over the summer. I'm sure that this is not the last you'll see of these Prima doll stamps! I'm not card making this evening as I have bought a new colouring book so I am going to make a start on this. I'll be back soon with more crafty creations.

Prima dolls again! (Part One)

Hello all. Anyone who visits my blog will know that I am a huge fan of Julie Nutting Prima doll stamps. I made a set of Thank You cards over the summer using these stamps and here are the first three (I will share the remaining three tomorrow). It is so much easier to take photographs in the summer!

First Birthday Wishes!

Good evening all! Tonight's card was made a few weeks ago for a family friend. I usually use pinks for female birthday cards but I thought I would try a different colour palette for a change and I do like it. The elephant is a Woodware stamp which I stamped and embossed and then paper pieced. I love using Woodware stamps and have sorted out my Christmas stamps to use over the next few weeks.

Exciting news!

Hello all! I cannot believe that it has been 3 months since I last posted! I have been creating and I have some really exciting news to share with you in the next few weeks, Today's card was made for my Mum's friend who achieved an A* in her Italian GCSE. I wanted to use the colours of the Italian flag and I printed out the A* in a Word document to use as a template. I've also started making my Christmas cards so I will share these on my blog over the coming weeks.

Love

Hello, hope you have all had a good day! Tonight's card was for my sister and her husband who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. I used the docrafts Papermania Bellissima collection. I love the colours in this collection and it is very versatile so can be used for a range of occasions. I used 3D foam pads for the decoupage. The scallop border is a Martha Stewart punch and I used twine to attach the sentiment. I am currently decorating a picture frame with this collection so I will share some photographs as soon as it is completed.

Good evening all! It's been a busy week being the school holidays but we are having a lovely time! These are the cards that I made for my older daughter's teachers at school and I'm pleased to say that they really liked them. Thank You Teacher

Hello all! It's been a while again since I last blogged but it is now the start of the school holidays so I am hoping to find a bit more crafty time. I have a few makes to share over the next few days. These are the cards that I made for the staff at my daughter's nursery. I can't believe that my youngest daughter is starting school in September, time really does fly by! The image is a digi stamp which I have had for years but it is great for this type of card. I'll be back tomorrow to share the cards that I made for my older daughter's school teachers. Enjoy your evening!

Mixed Media fun!

Good evening everyone! Today I've had a great time at Pink Tulip Creations. Fran Westmoreland was leading a mixed media workshop and I absolutely loved the class and the end product! We used a variety of different Prima products including pastes, gels, sprays and mica powders (all of which are now on my ever increasing wish list, wish my birthday was sooner!). I loved the techniques and styles and I will definitely be doing more of this type of crafting in the future.

Stamping fun!

I can't believe how long it is since I last blogged. I was doing really well posting regularly but then work and life got in the way of my crafty time! I'm hoping to have more free time over the summer to get crafting. I managed to find a spare hour last night to make this card for a friend's birthday. Last week I went to Evesham and discovered a lovely craft shop which sold Cardio Majestix Clear Peg Stamps so I just had to buy a set. I used Tim Holtz distress inks with the stamps and the sentiment was part of a free set of stamps in a magazine. The shop also sold The Hobby House toppers so I'm sure I'll be visiting again soon.

Birthday!

Hello all! Sorry I have been MIA for a while, it has been the Easter school holidays and we spent a lovely week in France. We visited Paris and all the famous landmarks including the Eiffel Tower. We also went to Disneyland Paris which we absolutely loved! We would love to go again as one day was not long enough! I have started to make an album for the photographs using the Minnie Mouse papers I bought from the Range. I will share photographs of it once it is completed. Anyway, moving on and today's card is for my Mum for her birthday tomorrow. Originally it was going to be a shaker card but in the end I decided to stick the 'shopping buttons' onto the paper. I really like the colours of the papers and the sentiment tags are from Lili of the Valley. I hope she likes it.
Crafting is definitely taking a back seat at the moment as life is hectic but I keep seeing lots of inspiration on blogs and I am looking forward to more creative time over the Summer!

Superhero!

Good evening everyone! This is the card that I made for my nephew for his birthday last week. I used American Crafts papers and fussy cut the buildings to create a landscape over the sky. The superhero characters and letter shields were cut using my Silhouette Cameo machine and attached to the card using 3D foam pads. Tonight I am contemplating ending my blog posts and focusing on using a Facebook page to showcase my creations so I will let you know when I have decided!

Mother's Day Gift

Hello! Today I'm sharing with you photographs of the gift that I made for my Mum for Mother's Day. I painted the four frame box (which measures approx 32cm by 32cm) and then covered it using the docrafts Bellissima collection. I added 2 sets of decoupage and a couple of photographs. I really enjoy making these and I have one more box left, I just need to decide what to use it for. I'm looking forward to the new docrafts Gorjuss release in April so this may be the answer!

Mother's Day

Good evening all! Tonight I'm sharing a photograph of the card I made for my Mum for Mother's day. I used the docrafts Bellissima collection which I love and one of my favourite stamps by Prima Julie Nutting. I'll be back over the weekend to share the gift I made her using the same collection.

Exciting news!

Good evening all and Happy Mother's Day to all the Mummies out there! Today I have some exciting news to share with you all. One of my crafty new years resolutions was to get one of my cards published in a craft magazine and I am really exited to say that I am 'Designer for the Day' in this month's Papercrafter magazine. I am so happy to have achieved this by March and I am going to try hard for the remainder of the year to try and get more of my cards published in crafty magazines!
I'll be back soon to share the card and gift that I made for my Mum for Mother's Day.

New stash!

Good evening all! Life and work seem really busy at the moment so crafting is having to take a back seat (apart from wedding invites for a relative and mother's day gifts). I went to The Range today and picked up some new papers. We are off to Disneyland Paris at the end of the month so I bought the Minnie Mouse papers and I am going to create an album of all the photos and memorabilia from the trip. The new First Edition paper pad 'Paper Flowers' is GORGEOUS and the colour palette is beautiful. I can't wait to use them, I just need to find some time!

Pop up box card

Good evening! Crafting time is quite limited at the moment due to life(!) so here is an order that I made for a 65th birthday card. A weekend away had been planned but they only had an email confirmation so asked if I could create a card which showed the present (a trip to London and the Chelsea flower show). Luckily they really liked the card and I do enjoy making pop up box cards. I have got so many projects in my head, I just need to find time to make them all now!

80th birthday!

Good evening all! Tonight's card was an order from a friend for an 80th birthday card. The papers and 3D decoupage topper are from Hunkydory and I added some punched butterflies and gems. I cut the letters using Sizzix dies. Sorry for the short post but I'm hoping to have an evening of card making this week.

Paperartsy workshop

During the trade show at the NEC on Tuesday, I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to take part in the Paperartsy workshop where we made 3 tags and a background. We used a variety of techniques including brayering and I am hooked! I was lucky enough to come home with some of the amazing Fresco paints so I just need to buy myself a brayer now! I also love the new ranges of stamps that they have released. This is a whole new area of crafting for me and I really like it!

Craft Hobby and Stitch International

Good evening everybody! Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to the Craft Hobby and Stitch International show at the NEC, It is a trade show showcasing all of the new crafty products being launched. Here is Super Mario made entirely of storage boxes:

There was also a sneak peak of an upcoming range from Crafter's Companion:

I had a look around all of the stands and was lucky enough to do 2 workshops. The Paperartsy workshop was fab and I just need to put the finishing touches to what I was making before I share it with you all. The other workshop I did was with Clare Charvill using Graphic 45 papers. I made a photo frame using 'March' papers. It is difficult to see in the photograph but the flowers are 3D and were 'fussy cut' out of the papers.

I had a brilliant time and then finished the day going to watch Collabro at Birmingham Symphony Hall. They were amazing!I'll be back in the next few days with my Paperartsy make and take.

Thank You!

Good morning! This is the third card I made using the docrafts kit (see previous posts). I cut into the white doily to add some dimension to the card. All elements on the card were from the kit, I just added a few gems to give it some bling! I will share photos of the final card I made once the magazine is published (I think it is around the 27th March). I can't wait to see one of my cards in print in a magazine!!
Saturday 14 February 2015

Just to say thanks

Morning all! Today's card is another that I made with the docrafts kit I was sent. All of the elements on the card came from the kit. I hadn't used this hexagon die before but I like the patchwork effect it creates so you will definitely be seeing it on more cards in the future!

Mother's Day

Good evening all! A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be sent some docrafts goodies to make a card for a magazine. The pack contained papers, sentiments, borders and decoupage. Once I started using the kit, I got carried away and made 4 cards in total! I sent them all off but I think only one will feature in the magazine. I think this card would be perfect to send on Mother's Day. I am currently making a special gift for my Mum for Mother's Day so I will share photos once she has received it. I will post pictures of the other 3 cards that I made over the next few days. Tonight I'm making a special birthday card commission.

Scruffy Little Cat

Hello all! Today's card was made using a Scruffy Little Cat stamp from Crafters Companion which I stamped, embossed and coloured in with ProMarkers. The papers are Papermania from docrafts and the sentiments are from Lili of the Valley. I added some punched flowers and gems and the card was complete.

Anniversary card

Good evening all! Today's card was made using a Hobby House pre-coloured topper (which I love!). The string of pearl beads was a bit difficult to attach to the card but I managed it in the end! I cut the letters using Sizzix dies and added lace, flowers and pins. I'm still trying to blog every couple of days so I have enjoyed many crafting sessions over recent weeks. Long may it continue!

Tatty Twinkles

Hello! This card was made using a Tatty Twinkles stamp, which I stamped and embossed and then coloured in with Promarkers. The stamps that I used for the border also come with the set and I used a range of Distress Inks to stamp them. I love the bow die but unfortunately can't remember where it is from (!). That's all for now, I'm off to make a wedding card for one of my work colleagues whilst watching the new series of The Sewing Bee.

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Good evening all! I have made today's card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge blog (where the theme is anything goes, I did not choose the optional extra this time). I used a Penny Black stamp which I stamped and embossed, and then coloured with Promarkers. I am not very keen on the stamps having a white background so I decided to try this technique of using lots of dots to cover the background. The heart border punch is from Martha Stewart and I used the heart negatives from the border and added them to the card. A sentiment and few gems and the card was finished!

'Let It Go'

Good morning everybody! Today's card was inspired by the VERY popular film 'Frozen'. My girls and I love this film and so I decided to make this card using my Silhouette Cameo machine. The AMAZING glitter (the most sparkly glitter I have ever used) is from Chloe's Creative Cards. I will certainly be buying more of this when I go to the NEC in March. I embossed white card with a dotty embossing folder for the snow covered ground. The little snowflakes are plastic embellishments with a little diamante in the centre of each one. You can never have too much bling on a card! Hope you all have a good day.

Good afternoon! Today's card was an order for a wedding card that I made recently, I love the Hobby House pre-coloured toppers and can only dream that one day my colouring will be this good!

Birthday frame

Hello blogland! Today's post shows a present that I made for my niece's birthday. I bought the frame for £1 and decorated it using a Tatty Twinkles stamp coloured with Promarkers. The butterflies, cakes and presents are also from the same stamp set. I cut out the letters and number using my Silhouette Cameo machine.
This week I have also been making my first 'Frozen' themed birthday card so hopefully I will be able to share a photo on here after Sunday when the recipient receives it.

Another doll!

Good evening all! Can you tell I love these stamps?! I made this card for one of my friends at work. I paper pieced her dress and used a die for the bow. I added LOTS of glitter and bling (not sure that this shows up in the photograph). Tonight I am attempting to make my first 'Frozen' themed birthday card with the help of my Silhouette Cameo! Hopefully I  will be able to share my creation later in the week. Until then, happy crafting!

Festive Friday!

Good evening! In an earlier post, I said that I would be doing a 'Fortnightly Festive Friday' to show any festive cards that I had made. Tonight's cards were both made using 'My Mind's Eye' papers and a petal stamp from 'Chloe's Creative Cards'. I heat embossed the stamp several times and used 3D foam pads to add dimension. Hope you like them!

New Home

Good evening! Tonight I'm sharing a new home card that I made (apologies for the terrible photograph). I cut out all of the house and features using my Silhouette Cameo machine. The grass is a new die that I bought and I added a few gems to add a bit of bling! Sorry it's a short post, off to finish some cards which may be featured in a magazine (fingers crossed!).

007

Good evening all! Tonight I am sharing the birthday card that I made for my sister. She is, and always has been, a huge James Bond and so I decided to go with this theme for her card. I chose to make a pop up box card and cut the card base using my Silhouette Cameo. I then printed out photos of all the actors who have played James Bond along with some iconic 007 pictures. I used acetate to attach the pop up images to the inside of the card. I'm pleased to say that she really liked it!

Fab at 50!

Good afternoon! I made today's card for one of my friends who was turning 50. I absolutely love these Prima Julie Nutting doll stamps and have a few in my collection (I may add to this after seeing the new releases at CHA!!). I paper pieced her dress and coloured the rest with Promarkers. I used lots of bling to make it a really special card!

BIrthday girl!

Hello! Today's card was made for my daughter to give to one of her nursery friends for her birthday. Pink is my favourite colour and so I tend to use it rather a lot on my cards. The image is a Tatty Twinkles stamp which I stamped, embossed and coloured in with Promarkers. I love personalising cards so I added her name and age, and then added a few sequins!
