PaperArtsy

As promised, here are the cards I made for a recent demo using PaperArtsy stamps and Distress Inks. I love making cute girly cards but sometimes it's good to try something different. My next demonstration is next Sunday (5th August) and is all about Christmas so I'm currently getting in the festive spirit!

Crafters Companion!

Good morning all! Just a quick post from me today as we're all off to a christening. I forgot to share with you the cards I made with the Crafters Companion Humphrey stamps for a demonstration a few weeks ago. I coloured them all with Spectrum Noirs. My favourite is definitely the one with the swing attached to the tree (I used a small brad so that it does actually move!). Hope you like them, I'll post photos of the last few cards I made using PaperArtsy stamps soon! Have a nice day everyone! x

Busy times!

Good afternoon! Well it's certainly busy here at the moment and I am still making cards and goodies for lots of different occasions. Today I've got 2 cards to share with you which I have made for a good friend of mine. The first is a birthday card for her first son's first birthday next week. The image is precoloured and from Lili of the Valley. The other card is a thank you card for her stepdaughter's teacher. The image is from Digistampboutique and coloured with Promarkers. Sorry about the short post, so much to do and I'm off to watch Dirty Dancing tonight at the theatre. x

Strictly Party!

Hello again! It's been over a month since I last posted on here but I have still been crafting behind the scenes! I have done 2 card making demonstrations for Osbornes Stationers and have another on Sunday 5th August with the theme of Christmas! I have also been busy making cards for family and friends as July is a busy month in our house with birthdays, anniversaries and we also have a christening at the end of the month. I'm hoping that they won't look at my blog as I am sharing 2 cards with you tonight that I have not yet given to the recipients. Both cards have been made using docrafts Papermania 'Strictly Party' range. The first card is for my stepdaughter who turns 16 next week. I have personalised it with her name and age and her name is on acetate and arched to give a 3D effect. The second card is a wedding anniversary card for my sister and brother-in-law. I absolutely love this range and may have to get a second set for keeps! Over the next few weeks I am hoping to share with you more cards and crafty goodies that I have made. Have a good evening all! x

Kanban 'Bella Fiori'

Good evening all! As promised I'm back with some photographs of the card and box I have made using the Kanban Bella Fiori range. The quality of this collection is fab and I just love the colour palette used. The idea for the box was taken from a show I watched on Create and Craft and the 3D box card concept was featured in a recent card making magazine. x

A Year With Humphrey!

Today I thought I would share with you the cards and exploding box I have made using the Crafter's Companion CD Rom 'A Year With Humphrey'. Apologies for the number of photos and the quality, there just isn't much sunshine around today so I had to take the photos in the garden between rain showers. There is SO much on the CD Rom including easel cards, stepper cards, decoupage, exploding boxes, card toppers and lots more! I hope to be back later to show you some papercraft goodies I have made using the Kanban range. x

Back to Blogland!

Good morning all! I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted on my blog, time is just flying by! I just wanted to say hi all, apologise for being a bad blogger (again!) and let you know that my next card making demonstration will be at Osbornes in Cotteridge on Saturday 23rd June 2012 from 10am. I managed to find the time to make 3 cards last night using the new Humphrey CD from Crafters Companion so I will try and post the photographs later today if we get any sunlight! Have a good day! x

Happy Birthday!

Good evening! Hope you have all had a good day. Tonight I'm sharing with you a birthday card that I have made for one of my work friends. I've also had a few orders this week so I need to start working on those too. The image is precoloured and from the Hobby House and the papers are Avalon from Bazzill Basics. I've added flowers, ribbon and bling and the card is complete. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. I feel that there is something missing from this card but I'm not sure what it is! I've also had a play with my new Spectrum Noir pens and SWALK stamps but I think it is going to take a LOT more practice. Sorry it's short and sweet tonight, I'm really tired and still have lots to do. Speak soon, take care. x

Sew Sweet!

Hello everyone, hope you are all having a good weekend! Tonight's stepper card was made for the demo but I've decided to send it to a friend for her birthday. The stamps were borrowed so I'm afraid I can't remember who makes them but the papers are from Papermania and I have used Tim Holtz distress inks. The fab sewing tape ribbon was originally cream but I used distress inks so that it matched the rest of the card. That's all for tonight as I'm off to watch the BGT final! x

Diamond Jubilee!

Good evening everyone! Firstly I must apologise for the poor photographs but I realised slightly too late that I had forgotten to take them! (I even had my husband shining the bright light from his mobile phone at the card). This is another card that I made for my demonstration using Papermania Portobello Road papers. I ripped the edges of the paper to add a more vintage feel and I stamped the gorgeous 'Gorjuss' girl stamp and coloured her with Promarkers. These stamps are a dream to colour and I'm sure that I'll be adding to my collection soon. The flowers are from Kanban and I coloured them with Promarkers before curling them into roses. I used a punch for the leaves and wooden letters from Kars. I'm hoping to go to the opening of the new Craft Palace shop in Worcester on Sunday. Have a good weekend! x

Baby Boy!

My second card of the evening is a Baby Boy card which I created using the Woodware elephant stamp. I just love this stamp so decided to make it look like they were marching off the page! I coloured them using Promarkers and the gorgeous ribbon is sold by the metre at Craft Palace in Sheldon. Again I have used the wooden letters from Kars and a circle punch. That's all for tonight, I'm off to do a spot of online craft shopping! x

I Love You!

Good evening! As I've been a quiet blogger lately, I have decided to share 2 cards with you this evening that I made for my demo on Sunday. This card has been made using wooden letters from Kars which I have coloured with Promarkers. I used a circle punch and foam pads to give the card an additional 3D effect. It is quite a simple card but I think it looks effective and it received positive comments at the demo. Hope you like it! x

Craft Palace Fun!

Hello all! Apologies for being such a bad blogger of late. I'm back to work and all is busy but I am hoping to post more regularly in the future. On Sunday, I did my first full card making demonstration at Craft Palace in Sheldon. I really enjoyed it and hope to do more in the future. I had made lots of cards beforehand (which are in the photograph) and I will be sharing each one in turn and explaining how they are made over the next few days. I demonstrated a range of techniques and mediums including stamping and Promarkers, embossing folders, Perfect Pearls, Twinkling H2Os, Tim Holtz Distress Inks and much more! I also now have 72 brand new Spectrum Noir pens so I need to find time to have a practice with them! I promise I will be back tomorrow with one of the cards from my demo. I'm off to watch the Crafters Companion Pick of the Day on Ideal World. X
